Survivor Support and Coaching
One to one and small group support for anyone living with abuse or rebuilding after it. No pressure, no timetable, no judgement about the choices you make.
Most people who reach us have already told someone. That is the part outsiders get wrong. They told a sister, a pastor, a colleague, and the response was a shrug, or advice, or a warning about what leaving would cost. By the time they call us they are not looking for another opinion. They are looking for one person who will hear the whole thing without flinching.
That is where we start. The first conversation has no agenda. You are not asked to name the person who hurt you, and you are not asked what you intend to do about it. You are asked what you need this week. Sometimes the answer is a plan. Very often it is simply to be believed out loud for the first time.
From there we work at your speed. Some people meet with us once. Others stay for a year. We help with safety planning, with the practical arithmetic of housing and money and childcare, with the language to use in a courtroom or a clinic, and with the slow work of rebuilding a sense of self that has been steadily taken apart.
We serve women and we serve men. Men who are abused by partners face a particular silence, because the story does not match what people expect, and because the fear of not being believed is well founded. We believe them. We also serve older people who are being controlled or financially exploited by an adult child or a carer, and families whose children are living inside the noise.
We are clear about our limits. Coaching and peer support are not licensed therapy, and they are not legal representation. When you need either, we say so plainly and we help you get there rather than keeping you in the room.
What we offer is company through a stretch of life that most people are expected to walk alone. That turns out to matter more than anyone admits.
